Privacy policy

The short version

Everything you type into KeenInvoice — your business details, your clients, your line items, your logo — stays in your browser on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts, the site sets no cookies, and there is currently no analytics or advertising.

What is stored on your device

So that your work is still there when you come back, the site stores the following in your browser (IndexedDB, or local storage if IndexedDB is unavailable): every document you create, including any logo you add; which document you last had open on each page; and your light or dark theme choice.

This data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself. You can see, export and delete it on My documents. “Delete everything” there removes all of it, and so does clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Private or incognito windows usually discard it when they close.

Because the data lives only in your browser, we cannot recover it for you. Some browsers, notably Safari, may remove a site’s stored data if you do not visit it for several weeks. Use “Export backup” now and then to keep a copy.

PDFs and printing

PDFs are generated on your device. To draw them, your browser downloads font files from this site (the same files for everyone); no information about your document is included in that request.

What our host sees

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data — such as your IP address, browser type, and the address of the page requested — to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. That data never includes what you type into a document, because what you type is not sent anywhere. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

KeenInvoice sets no cookies and runs no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising. If that ever changes — for example, if we add privacy-friendly visit counting, or ads to keep the site free — this page will be updated first to say exactly what is collected, by whom, and how to opt out. Even then, the contents of your documents will stay on your device.

Backups you export

An exported backup is a JSON file containing your documents and logos. It is saved wherever your browser saves downloads. Treat it like any file with client information in it: keep it somewhere safe, and only import backups you made yourself.

Children

KeenInvoice is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you rights over personal data an organization holds about you. KeenInvoice does not hold any: your documents are on your device, under your control, and you can view, export or delete them at any time. For anything else, contact us at the address below.
